This last week has been a week of wind-LOTS of wind, but we have been grinding out finding fish daily. The main thing you have to learn about fishing here is how to navigate the waters to pattern the fish. It is not always obvious where they might go and the wind might change directions completely during your trip fishing. Knowing where to go is part of the equation and praying the fish are hungry is another part. There are days where you can see an entire school or reds right in front of the boat, but for some reason, they are not in the mood to eat. That is when you have to know the fish, know the water and be out there every day. The bite might be only a short time each day and that is when you need to be in the right spot to catch your fish. So for now, when fishing off the bank, throw toward the land where the wind is blowing-you might have better luck with the wind at your back. Tight lines until next time, Capt. Randy
